Day Of Giving.

On Saturday, March 3rd, 2018, the Holmen Area Community Center will hold an event aptly titled, “The Day of Giving” and the whole community is invited! This day will be the culmination of several months of raising funds dedicated to support programming at the proposed facility.  We will announce the grand total at the Legion on March 3rd and hope to fill the walls with pledge cards from folks just like you!

Please mark your calendars and make plans to attend this fun filled and most rewarding day of activities.

The whole idea behind this grassroots effort is to support the community center by encouraging everyone to give a little so that everyone will get a lot.  Imagine what could happen if every family, business or individual pledged a doable amount for the next three years? Could you give $100 dollars a year?  That is only about $2 per week!  How about $200 dollars a year?  Maybe your family could give up one meal out a month – that is doable for almost everyone!  Maybe you can come up your own unique way to contribute to this cause and if so, tell us about it – we would love a video (two minutes or less, please) that explains why and how you are choosing to pledge for this cause!  Send that video to Laurie Kessler (contact info below) so we can post it on Facebook!

The important thing is that we spread the word to those around us so that everyone in this community gets involved to support the programs that will make a difference in the lives of our friends and neighbors.  Fifteen area agencies have already committed to providing services for all generations in our community, so finding a way to get those programs started is imperative.

Would you step up to become a leader in this effort by making a pledge yourself and then commit to finding at least two other families or individuals who will do the same? The idea is that each person who pledges continues to reach out to someone new so that we can spread this message to the entire community in an effort to come together to support the Holmen Area Community Center. Pledge cards are available on this website and at Edward Jones, 106 S. Holmen Drive, Holmen between the hours of 8:30 a.m.– 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday.
