Holmen High School Alumni have asked how they can help raise money for the Great Futures Together Capital Campaign. Together we can bring an inter-generational Boys & Girls Club to Holmen. It is time to pay it forward.

Will you donate to the campaign and challenge your classmates to match your gift? You can use Facebook to challenge your classmates to join you. 100% of the funds raised go to the campaign.

How much can your class raise?

It is easy! To create a fundraiser on Facebook for this capital campaign, follow these steps:

  1. Click Fundraisers icon in the left menu of your News Feed.

  2. Click Raise Money.

  3. Select Nonprofit or Charity.

  4. Select the Boys & Girls Club of Greater La Crosse, choose a cover photo and fill in the fundraiser details.

  5. Click Create.

Here are some suggestions on how to answer the questions in the fundraiser set-up process.
Part One: Answer these questions:

  •   Who is raising the money? (your name)

  •   Who are you raising money for? (Boys & Girls Club of La Crosse)

  •   How much do you want to raise? (enter $5,000 or some amount)

  •   When should your fundraiser end? (go out at least two weeks)

Part Two: Answer these questions

  •   What is the title of your fundraiser? (something like: HHS Class of 1988 fundraiser for Holmen Boys & Girls Club)

  •   Why are your raising money?

It is time for the Alumni of Holmen High School to help bring an inter-generational Boys & Girls Club to Holmen. Plans are to add a gym and renovate former Festival Foods store and then offer great programs for kids and adults in our community. I’m supporting this campaign and I am challenging all classmates to donate today. Your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate $5 or $500.  If 50 classmates gave $100, we would raise $5,000. Every little bit helps. I’ve included information about Holmen Area Community Center below. Our mission is to sustain a welcoming community center that connects all generations. The vision is to promote hospitality, respect for all generations, and community pride through purposeful programming that enriches the lives of both young and old and everyone in between. It is our intent to create a model that will define roles and expectations to the extent that future collaborations will be celebrated and endorsed.

Part Three: Add a photo, then click create.
