Membership and Registration Policies:
The Holmen Area Community Center values its members and places a high priority on member service. It is our policy that all staff, volunteers, and board of directors will institute and nurture a culture of member service and satisfaction through their interaction with members, the development of procedures, and the implementation of programs.
Supervision
Anyone age 10 or under must be accompanied by an adult age 18+ at all times while on HACC property.
Guest Passes
Members are encouraged to invite friends and family to experience the HACC with them. Guests can attend one FREE class.
Payment Policy:
All fees must be paid in full at the time of registration or reservation.
- All registrations and reservations are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Registration forms without proper payment will not be processed.
- Accepted payments include: Cash, checks, Visa or MasterCard. Please make checks payable to HACC. A $30.00 service charge is assessed on all checks returned due to insufficient funds. Once an NSF check occurs, all future payments must be cash or credit card only.
- Credit card payments have a service fee of approx. 1.99% + .49 transaction fee.
Refunds/Credit Policy:
- Prior to registration, ask for more information if you are unsure about your participation in a program.
- Please note that by registering, you are committing to a spot in the program or activity and no refunds or credits will be allowed for cancellations.
- A full refund or credit will be offered for any programs cancelled by the HACC or if there are changes to the original schedule and the participant can no longer attend.
Pre Pay Policy:

When purchasing prepay, I understand that my payments are non-refundable and can only be transferable to a person within my household.
Class Cancellations:
- Depending on the program or activity, there may be a minimum number of participants required. In cases where there are not enough participants, the session is subject to cancellation.
- All HACC program are subject to cancellations and schedule changes, participants will be notified of cancellations to the best of our ability.
- The HACC will always put the safety of its members, program participants and staff first when decisions need to be made concerning inclement weather. When inclement weather poses a threat, the HACC may adjust or cancel scheduled hours of operation, programs and/or special events.
- Cancellation of HACC classes and/or programs are often based upon local schools cancellations. We may make an independent decision based on our assessment of the weather. If we decide to cancel, we will notify by posting it on our Facebook page and website home page.
- If the HACC is closed, or has a delayed opening or will be closing early, announcements will be be sent to members via email and posted to our website homepage and face book page.
- In the event of dangerous weather or circumstances beyond our control, the HACC reserves the right to adjust facility hours or close without reimbursement of membership or program fees.
Membership Policies:

The Holmen Area Community Center reserves the right to increase membership rates with at least 30 days’ advance written notice.

I have read and understand the Holmen Area Community Center Membership Payment Agreement and agree to all terms.
Code of Conduct:

We are committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all members and guests. To promote safety and comfort for all, we ask individuals to act appropriately at all times when they are in our facility or participating in our programs.
We expect persons using the HACC to behave in a mature and responsible manner and respect the rights and dignity of others. Our Code of Conduct does not permit language or action that can hurt or frighten another person or that falls below a generally accepted standard of conduct. Our Code of Conduct reflects our core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
Members are not to engage in the following activity:
- Angry or vulgar language including swearing, name-calling, or shouting.
- Derogatory comments to any person in reference to their appearance, gender, race or culture.
- Intentional physical contact with another person in an angry, threatening, or sexual manner.
- Any demonstration of sexual activity.
- Harassment or intimidation by words or gestures, body language, or any other menacing behavior.
- We share the building with the Boys and Girls Club and Ace Academy, we ask that members not engage with children outside of intergenerational programs.
- Inappropriate attire.
- Theft or behavior that results in the destruction of property.
- Carrying, or concealing weapons or devices or objects that may be used as weapons.
- Using or possessing illegal chemicals or alcohol on the property, in vehicles, or at sponsored programs. Private parties with permission to use alcohol are allowed.
- The HACC is a smoke-free environment. Smoking and vaping are not permitted in the HACC or outside the property.
- Chronic disregard for HACC policies.
- Any other conduct that is inappropriate, threatening, or offensive in nature.
- Members and guests are encouraged to be responsible for their personal comfort and safety by requesting that the offensive behavior be stopped from any person whose behavior is in violation of the Code of Conduct listed above. If a member feels uncomfortable confronting the person directly, they should report it immediately to a HACC staff person.
- Members and guests should not hesitate to notify a HACC staff person if assistance is needed. Please do not hesitate in requesting help. Our staff are here to help make the HACC a safe environment.
Denial or Revocation of Membership:

The Executive Director and Board President will review all reported incidents. The decision to suspend or terminate a HACC membership privileges will be made at their discretion if a violation of the Code of Conduct has occurred and if it has been determined that said individual’s behavior or other may jeopardize the comfort and safety of others. This includes, but is not limited to violations of the code of conduct, or if the individual is a convicted sex offender, drug trafficker, etc.
Lost and Stolen Items:
- The HACC is not responsible for personal equipment, clothes, decorations, etc. that are lost or stolen during any program or reservation.
- Please contact our main office concerning lost items, as many times they are turned in by others.
- Items of value will be turned over to the Police Department after one week. Clothing and other items will be donated after one month.
